Math

In kindergarten math is lots of hands on with manipulatives of all kinds ...buttons, keys, colored pasta, colored cubes, and the list goes on. We also record our learning in our math journals.

PaTtErNs are everywhere

This week we are learning about patterns. We use every moment as a teaching moment...AND we love snack time, thanks for sending it each week.

We have visited the library this week. Each class has a certain time and day that we go to the library as a class. On the days that we go as a class, Mrs. Lewis will work with us on integrating technology with what we are learning in class. Your child can keep their book for as long as the like, or bring it back the next day. We will have a place where they can put the books to be turned in. Th...e books that they bring home are ones that they get to choose. So, most likely it will be one that they can not read by themselves. This could be a great opportunity for you to read to your child. Reading to your child every night is SO very important. Students will be visiting the library on their own during literacy centers throughout the week. We LOVE our library!
