Magnet day
To finish our magnet/forces unit we had a fun with magnets in the science lab. There were many different stations set up , ready to explore....students could go fishing with magnet, digging in the sand for magnetic treasures, experiment with repel and attract, sort magnetic objects and things that are not magnetic, and lots of other activities. The students had a blast! Clink on the link.

Magnets
There is not a kindergartner around that is not fascinated with magnets. We have been learning all about magnets in science. This week we learned 2 new words- attract and repel, and then we demonstrated exactly what those words mean, in terms of magnets!

Red Ribbon Week
Just say NO! This past week we celebrated Red Ribbon Week. We had hippie day, red day, crazy everything day, and backwards/inside out day. One day students got the"courage" to climb the rock wall. We had several students who reached the very top and rang the bell. It was lots of fun. We had a great week talking about having courage to say NO and make good choices!

Old Mac Donald had a farm e-I-e-I-o
One if our favorite things to do in kindergarten is taking our field trip to dewberry farm. The students love it and so do the teachers and parents.
